Surgical Suture Material SILK is a sterile, non-absorbable braided suture material made of natural silk, intended for soft tissue closure. The material consists of multiple fibers and has a silicone coating that provides smoother passage through tissues, reduces tissue trauma, and helps ensure stable knot fixation.
It must NOT be used in neurosurgery or cardiovascular surgery.
